@@BretWaltonDrums well... it seems a tree fell on my house lol so it's looking like next week. Instead of finishing a video I'm gonna be chopping wood today.
Awesome canal, and lesson, and Master! for this kind of music material, theres is a method called "Double Binary Motor System" which deals very specifically with the combination of movement patterns in different lengths, cell, motif phrase, semi-phrase, etc. I highly recommend it, it is in various meters.
I know exactly what you mean. I needed to crank a video out fast and it wasn't until very late in the editing process that I discovered it would be such a problem. It will be fixed for the next one. Thanks for enduring it
Hey man was wondering I was struggling a little with my ghost notes. I can hear in my head that keeping beat-offbeat? Do you have any particular exercise for this. Thank you. 🙏 namaste
Actually I teach a whole course on DrumTipTuesday.com about ghost strokes. You can check it out for free for 7 days, this is the trailer: www.drumtiptuesday.com/ghost-stroke-paradiddles/videos/ghost-stroke-trailer-1 I f you're not interested in that I can sum up the course in a few words. Basically I take four permutations of the paradiddle and create a specific beat and ghost stroke challenge for each, and break them down slow and one limb at a time. The lesson being: take a specific beat with a lot of ghost strokes and get crazy good at that, then choose another specific beat, etc... too often people try to approach ghost strokes as a large concept with very little specific application. I hope this helps. Thank you for commenting.
Love this!
Thank you. I appreciate you
"But wait, there's more!" 😅
Thanks for another great video!
.. and if I can get this solo recorded there will be more again this Tuesday lol
